Patrick had a follow up with the pediatrician at 9am. He had a temp of 102.1 after taking tylenol so we were sent over to the children’s hospital. After numerous tests (needle pokes) he was admitted around 7pm. He’s getting IV fluids and some antibiotics. Most of this is precautionary because of his young age and because he hasn’t had most of his vaccinations yet. Apparently 8 weeks old is the cutoff for drastic treatment vs not so drastic, and since he’s right at the 8 week mark the doctors are erring on the cautionary side. The hospital is very new and quite nice. Patrick has had better days but he’s hanging in there and hopefully getting better soon.
